Hi! I’m Casey von Neumann.

My first business looked like a success to the outside world, but it didn’t feel like it to me.

At first, I thought I could just do everything. I didn’t have the margin to pay people, so I hoarded every task and project. That went about as well as you might expect.

Then I thought I could just hire nice people and they would know what to do. I tried it. I ended up with a business I didn’t recognize, that I wasn’t proud of, and I was working just as hard as ever as scrambled to fix all of the things that were going wrong because somehow, my employees didn’t know how to read my mind.

Eventually, through making lots of mistakes, experimenting, and investing in my own professional development, I learned how to create a business I felt proud of, that made a profit, and that didn’t require my presence. And then I did it again.

But it wasn’t really me. It was my team. And together, we’d love to share what we’ve learned and save you a decade or so.
